Capacity History

The Mountain America Stadium is an impressive and large football stadium located on the campus of Arizona State University.

This building also held one of the largest venue capacities in it’s early decades, originally set at 30,000, the Sun Devil Stadium started it’s renovations to be able to hold an unbelievable 70,000 by 1977. 

Although impressive, it’s capacity wasn’t as functional as it could have been and the venue has undergone ongoing changes throughout the last few years.

Between 2015 and 2019, Sun Devil Stadium’s seating arrangement was completely demolished and rebuilt and now provides the perfect space that has been carefully planned and put in place for one sole purpose – to give the fans the best possible experience.

Now the Sun Devil Stadium really does live up to it’s reputation as it hosts unmissable sports events that fans just cannot get enough of.
